I have an old powermac 8500/120 with about 1GB worth of files that I need saved on a DVDr which is on a PC. I am very PC savy but very MAC retarted. My question is how can I, if possible, transfer these files to my PC in order to burn them?

Just use the ethernet port. If yours does not have one, go buy a PCI card for it.

Or, instead of buying a card, a much better solution that is more practical would be to by a USB disc storage key that you can carry around with you and use on any USB enabled computer. Quick, easy and useful.

Just thought, that if your Mac does not have ethernet or USB, you could either buy an ethernet card or an internal USB pci card if you want to use the USB storage key.

And need to add that if you go SB route, make sure your Op system supports it (not sure what version of Mac you are running.)
If you have already have an inbuilt ethernet card in the old Mac, it will be easier and cheaper to network.
