System error 10/lockup

Occasionly when i put a cd or a zip into
my G4 400, it locks up, sometimes saying
'system error type 10 restart' and other
time just quiting the application i am in.
I have an external zip drive and the
standard dvd drive.

error type 10 normally indicates corrupt Finder prefs.
Remove these from the System Folder/Preferences Folder and restart. A new set will be created.
