Often my IMAC screen, on start or restart, comes up with a greenish tinge that stays. Sometimes it is nearly black. Restarts will eventually clear it up. Problem began when I got OSX, but that may be coincidence. Restart on OS9 CD-ROM usually fixes it, but not always. Power voltage of 125VAC confirmed. What gives?

Sounds like a cold solder joint on the analogue board.

Unless you're skilled in this sort of repair, you're looking at probably $120 or so to get it fixed at a TV repair shop or Apple dealer. (Actually, a TV repair shop is a better option - the Apple dealer will want to replace the analogue board at a cost of $300 or so.)

Could also be a utility tool adjustment. Hard to
get those bastar*s. These things do happen
though. Try an ASP first. Cost you about the
same $120.00. Maybe less.
