Wait ... do you want the latest System software that you can INSTALL from floppies or the newest that will RUN off of them?

They are one and the same.
To install from floppies you must boot
from them first.

They're definitely *not* the same.

You can't run anything past System 7.0 off of a floppy unless the *only* thing you're doing is installing the OS.

Well.....That's what I meant.
Just the IDEA of RUNNING a modern
mac FROM a floppy is beyond ridiculous.

You can certainly INSTALL from them
without Booting from them, but there are
limitations.

I was talking about the latest version that can be installed from a set of floppys. and where to get them? i just got an old mac. with no cd--rom. i dont even have a keyboard for it
