PowerPC or Intel?
If it PowerPC, you wasted your money. Macs are all Intel now and the newest version of the OS, Mac OS X Snow Leopard. You wont find Leopard for free LEGALLY and online it'll be cheap and if you have an Intel Mac you can get the newest version for $30. Ubuntu is for vanilla workstations, I'd never have it as my main OS. EVER.

lowendmac.com will have deals for tiger and ram upgrades... if you want real speed on there you have to run OS 9. PPCs esp. G4 would choke on OS X from my experience. maybe i did to much...lol
