i have a mac g4 400 312mb ram and i share a
cable connection with my bros pc which he
runs on winxp. his connection is fast while
mines is slow. slower than dial up. ive had
cable since last year and it was fast up
until this past month and i dunno y. i tried
everything. trashed tcp/ip, formatted clean
intsall and nothing works. i dont think its
my brower because anything internet related
is slow (aim, aol, ftp, email, limewire). i
mean it is super slow! i have my tcp/ip set
to ethernet>dhcp. its weird too cuz sometimes
i get fast speeds when my bro comes home and
uses his comp but then that will only last a
few minutes. i also would switch my cable
line to another hole in the ethernet hub and
i would get fast speeds but only for a few
minutes as well. could it be my cable line?
its coming from outside. could the cold
weather, snow or rain have affected it after
a long time? someone please help me! =(

Phone your ISP and get them to check the Hub packets in your area.
