Hello all,
My IBook runs OS9.2 At startup everything
works fine until the desktop is built up
completely. At that moment however it
takes approx. 2,5 minutes before it displays all the other desktop items - there are +/- 10 items.
I tried zapping the pram + techtool for deleting and rebuilding the desktop; recent anti-virus scan ;disconnecting usb/ethernet/battery: they did not change this situation. What is going on?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks but how should this be done? Can I just put them in the trash and what file defines the Finder Preferences?

Thanks again.

Uh, the file called Finder Preferences. Anything that gets them out of the Prefs folder will help, but once they're out, they're useless, so the Trash is the next best place to put them...
