shrinking ISP service from Bell South; need Mac alternative

April 26, 2012 at 07:07:40
Specs: Macintosh

I need an alternative ISP to Bell South for Mac. Help!! Am in Atlanta. I can't get games for my grandson; can't type an email over 25 MB (MB?); can't retrieve more than about 5 newest sent emails; have to wait longer and longer times to connect; often am told that Bell South cannot locate a site--a common, well known site.

Isp's aren't operating system specific. the 25MB limit in emails is actually for attachments. It would take a LOT of typing to send an email with 25mb's of type. That buffer is normal though. Hotmail gmail and every other mail service all have attachment limits and Slow upload speeds to attach files. Are you using DSL? Personally i prefer cable but there's pros and cons to everything ie cost, availability, time of day, etc. You could try calling your ISP. you pay for the service so they'd be more then happy to help you and keep you as a customer. They'll be more helpful if you tell them you're thinking of switching. Customer service first, explain the issue, your dis-satisfaction, then they'll send you to tech support. The customer service guy should keep track and make sure the tech does his job right. The tech should NEVER sell you anything!. Dont buy it!!
