Sharing Files between PC and MAc

I have a pc and mac. I would like to connect them via network cards. Mainly to share .wav files and Image files. Is this easily Done? thanks 4 comments

Sharing between a PC and Mac can be done very easily.. I would say to purchase a cross-over ethernet cable and directly connect the machines, but I'm not sure if that works cross platform. If need be, purchase an ethernet hub, and two ethernet cards... install on your pc, a program called PC MAC LAN... i have the latest version if you need it. The other way is to setup an NT server as a file server on a network, and enable the MAC FILE SERVICES, then enable Mac File through the File Manager in the Administrator Tools section.
