I got this G4 as a gift from a moving neighbor, saw here how to override admin password but am stuck trying to figure out if I have the dreaded Yikes! or the sawtooth so I can upgrade RAM pronto (both have 400 MHz models and are called AGP graphics as far as I saw ..)

In 'about' I found this info:
PowerMac G4 AGP graphics, PowerMac 3.1
PowerPC G4 (2.6), CPU Speed 400 MHz
L2 Cache 1MB, Memory 256 meager MBs
Bus Speed 100Mhz, Serial # 0B9440QUHES
no bluetooth, no airport card
modem Spring V.90, Firmware 0001,41711999

anybody who can help?

AGP graphics indicate it is a Sawtooth, the Yikes had PCI
graphics.

big sigh of relief - you are right, Yikes is PCI graphics - I got frazzled when I checked Macsale's list - duh! many thanks.
