Running out of modem/printer ports

A family friend I'm helping is trying to run two printers, a modem, and a Palm pilot on only two ports. (At the moment, she has to power off and physically switch devices) Is there a "port multiplier" or a NuBus or PCI card that will give them extra ports? Any advice is appreciated... Thanks...
