No you can't run Panther on a PC. Virtual PC(The Mac version)is an application to run Windows apps on a Mac. So the final answer is: NO

macs and pc have entirely different ways (at a hardware level) of processing system events (i.e. - the memory architecture, not the memory itself, that is the same, but the way mem. is handled on the bus is completely different). Macs run a processor which is actually based on the RISC architecture, where as PC's run x86 processors. as windows is not compiled at the kernal level to run on macs RISC processor and vice versa, it is unfortunately not possible.

If you are a programmer, you can always give the port of Darwin to the x86 a try. I don't know what stage its at right now though.

Darwin is the OS X kernel btw.

Roffle. I have considered the same thing myself in the past though, but only as a novelty.

You could pretend by getting a Mac with OSX installed, then put VNC server on it. Connect a PC to it and then connect via the VNC client et voila - you have OSX on your PC!! hehehe...
