Hi, I need to archive all my old work on to our shiny new server.

This works fine for all our files created in OSX as there are no file names with '/' in them.

These copy fine, unfortunately back in the days pre OSX a lot of our company's naming conventions included backslashes eg '6056 training/intro', these don't copy at all...

I'm looking for a utility that I can run that will change theses files en mass...either deleting the offending backslashes or replacing with acceptable characters.

any suggestions?

I'd rather be kitesurfing

Did you try using an applescript?
There is a script named: 'Replace text in item names'
in the finder scripts menu.
