Hey, I'm designing CGI scripts from my home PC for an OS X server. In the past I have had to physically go to the server to change the permissions so the scripts would run. Is there any way of making these scripts executable without actually being there (FTP? Telnet?). I've tried chmod in WS_FTP and it won't work either.

Learn how to use chmod in *nix. There's a man page on it.

Use the command line. Most FTP clients don't implement it reliably, if at all.
