I was watching something on TechTV last night when they started talking about this Remote Desktop Client for Mac OS X. Sounds pretty cool. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you copy files from the virtual Windows window to the Mac? Does the host computer need to be running Win XP?

Google for VNC. Also check for VNC on Versiontracker. Im not sure if we are talking of the same thing but with VNC you can export the display of any computer running most OSs with an IP address and running a VNC server. But you cant drag and drop files from the virtual desktop to your Mac OSX desktop. That would be a cool thing to have though..hmmm!

Hmm, I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing.

It's a Microsoft app for Mac OS X that can be downloaded for free from the M$ website. I don't have OS X but if I can use this to drag and drop remotely from my Windows computer, that alone might be worth the upgrade.

Just wondering if anyone out there has tried it.

Apple Remote Desktop has *nothing* to do with Microsoft.

There's more info about it on Apple's site.

I'm not talking about the Apple Remote Desktop. At least I don't think I am. I'm talking about this app you can download for free from Microsoft. You can remotely access a Windows computer running remote desktop or terminal server from Mac OS X. The link is below.
