Hi everyone,
I just installed MAC OS X from MAC OS 9 on my G3 and I want to go back to OS 9 because a lot of programs won't run on X. I'm trying to install Microsoft Office 2001 and it keeps telling me it is not compatible with OS X. How do I remove X and reinstall 9?

just reinstall OS9. Be sure to format the drive. You do have the OS 9 install disk right?

Did you wipe the drive before installing OS X?
If not, then OS 9 is still on the machine. Open System Preferences and click on Startup Disk. If there is a valid OS 9 system still left, it'll show up as a boot option. Select it and then the Restart button.
You can have OS 9 and OS X installed on the machine at the same time.
