Recovering Deleted Files in os9

I was backing up a large file with about three weeks worth of work and deleted the entire folder without realizing it. I also emptied the trash before i realized it. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

No fix unless you were running some sort of backup protection software at that time, and even then it depends on how it was configured. Your only hope is to remove the hard drive and get it to some data recovery specialist to see what, if anything, they can dredge up (see the back of any macworld magazine). Oh, and you can't use your mac until you take the hard drive out or you'll further ruin any chance of the specialists recovering what you need.

before you take it to the data recovery specialist, try norton's utilities. there's a program called "unerase" that might be able to help you. if it doesn't, take that harddrive out and head out the door.

nortons utilities is great for recovering and unerasing files! i use it and its great! but u may find some trouble if the file is really complex or really large! good luck and let me know if it works!
