Recording Streaming audio

Is there any OS9 software that allows recording of streaming audio directly to the hard drive? I have searched in vain and have resorted to recoding the audion to a minidisc via an Imic adaptor and then recording back onto the hard drive via Roxio Spin Doctor. Surely there's an easier way?
