Does anyone have experience recording music with a Mac? I'm thinking about buying a MacBook with the GarageBand software. How do you plug in your mic and instruments? How's the quality of sound?

Well, Mac's are used in studios. You may use USB mic, midi interfaces or just go and get M audio or pro-tools hardware and logic or protools software, Mac(Book) Pro with plenty of RAM if you are really serious.

We use good old PowerMac 9600(300 Mhz PowerPC) and pro-tools hardware in our studio. Hope this helps.
