We have a Sharp AR-275 Copier/Printer. Printer connected through a router on LPR Port/Protocol.
I'm trying to print, but it's only printing an error.: "Error: PostScript printing not licensed for this printer."
I can Ping the printer's IP.
I have the printer drivers installed. WinXP workstion can print with no problem.
I tryed print an image or a document, but nothing works. Not even printing Google webpage.
I tryed enabling and disabling appletalk, nothing.

I have been told by more than one person that Macs cannot print to an Ethernet-connected printer unless the printer is postscript capable. I use USB printer sharing for a non-postscript Brother HL-1440 and that works (most of the time, sometimes I have to unplug-replug it), but the printer is connected to another computer on the network. (The printouts look gray, but that's just a mechanical thing I guess.) My trusty old HP4ML printer is postscript cpable and works great using a localtalk bridge so I can connect that old serial printer to the ethernet network.
If your printer is not postsctipt capable I think you have to host it with a computer, or maybe a print server at least.
