hi. i just got a powermac 6500/225 from a friend, and i
want to get it up and running. i got everything ready, but i
don't have a screen for it. i see it has a video port, but it's
not VGA. it's some weird kind of plug. the nearest apple
store is more than an hour away, and i don't have the time
to get a screen or adapter from there. also, i'm not 18, so
i can't get stuff off of ebay (don't have a credit card). can i
put in a normal VGA card in one of the PCI slots to have
video? if i can't, is there some way i could fabricate an
adapter from that weird plug to VGA? what is that weird
plug called?

thx in advance!

Unfortunately you will need either an Apple Monitor or an 'Apple Port to VGA adaptor'.

I the connector itself is called DB-15 (2-ROW), the PC monitor use High-density DB-15 (3-ROW).
