i am going to college this year
im looking to invest in a computer
i already have a desktop which will be my main pc but i want a laptop alsoive been drooling over the 12 inch powerbook and/or the ibook but am wondering what are the pros and cons vs the pc and mac
what i want from my laptop
-portabilty
-wirelessness
-thin and light
-excel in normal pc use ex: internet/aim no gaming.. word processing a little.. but as i said... i have the pc for thatwhat are the pros and cons for the mac
what are the pros and cons of a laptop (prolly amd 64 or a centrino)
thank you for any help

personally i have grown very close to both my
powerbook and ibook and i also have a desktop pc.
i think you have nothing to lose and everything to
gain by getting a powerbook at least for the cross
platform experience of learning how macs and pcs
can network so easy these days. My vote: get the
mac!

macs are nice now with OSX. for home use i would consider a newer mac with OSX.
However, for business "enterprise" usage, i would NOT recommend a mac. most business software as well as custom software are PC only.

MCSE soon

Yeah, I was looking at this myself. I don't know whether to get a 15" Powerbook G4 or get something comparable in price in the PC arena.
I have a PC that will be my main at school (well, maybe not after I get a laptop). I went through everything and found that I have absolutely nothing to lose because most all of the software I use will be available on OSX and I really really like a lot of the things that it has that Windows doesn't.
I can do gaming on my PC and do everything else on my powerbook. I'd go for the powerbook. It's school, you dont need it for any "enterprise" usage.
