powerbook, tcp/ip, otgloballib=no surfin

In trying to remove tentacles of AOL from G3 powerbook, must have thrown out too much. When tried to connect (as usual) with another internet program, error message said tcp/ip is locked or being used. It was neither. Restart without extensions, error message becomes: "cannot open tcp/ip control panel because otgloballib cannot be found". Have not been able to open control panel for the tcp/ip, so don't know how it is set. Everything was fine before using AOL account again - what do I need to reinstalll? Thanks - tj

You can't open TCP/IP when your extensions are off because TCP/IP requires Open Transport to be active in order to work. Throw out the TCP/IP preferences file and restart. That'll fix it. p
