Someone dropped off a Powerbook 400MHZ/1 MB Cache/64MB/6 GB HD/8 MB VIDEO/DVD Laptop and gave it to me. I can see a little part of the top left hand corner on the screen, but the rest is busted beyond repair. On the back pannel, I see a PC Monitor jack. So being a PC guy, I went and poped in my PC Monitor. Well, I can only get a part of the screen. I have tried changing resolution and everything, but I can not get the entire desktop to show up on my external monitor... Any ideas/

After reading what resetting the power manager does (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449&SaveKCWindowURL=http%3A%2F%2Fkbase.info.apple.com%2Fcgi-bin%2FWebObjects%2Fkbase.woa%2Fwa%2FSaveKCToHomePage&searchMode=Assisted&kbhost=kbase.info.apple.com&showButton=false&randomValue=100&showSurvey=false&sessionID=anonymous|159807203) I don't think that is exactly what I need, I think? I want to be able to use a PC Monitor on it, is that what it does? The laptop has been dropped, that is why...

Thanx

Well it ain't dead... cause I can still run programs and hook it on the network with the hard drive and everything, the monitor has just broken to point beyond repair...

All I want to do is use my PC monitor on it...

What should I do?
