Hi, i dont know if anyone can help, but my Powerbook G4 wont start, it froze whilst i was on the internet, so i ended up having to press the power button to turn it off, and when i started it up again, it wouldnt go any further that the first screen you see when turning it on - the one with the little apple in the middle. and it makes weird 'glitchy' noises, then eventually cuts out and turns itself off. Can anyone help?? Thanks Megan

Your hard drive is most likely dead. Try booting from the OSX diagnostics/install discs that came with the unit and run diagnostics to confirm this (put disc into unit and hold D key while booting).
