i purchased a new powerbook g4. it arrived today. i ran it
long enough to drain the battery, and then plugged in in,
and it recharged. upon completion of the recharge, the
icon in the taskbar turns to the charged symbol, and for
approximatly 5 seconds, it will show "charged" then, it
will replace "charged" with calculating. when unplugged,
it will change to amount of time left on the battery, but
when plugged right back in, it will show the charged
symbol, and then replace it with calculating. it has been
calculating for 10 minutes now, and it seems to me that
something is not right. any help is greatly appreciated.

That can be normal behavior, how long does it last and what
are your Energy Saver and Display settings set to in Apple
Menu> System Preferances?
