Powerbook 5300c - corrupted screen

My 5300c's screen has become partially corrupt - vertical lines run across top half of screen. They appeared just after booting up after 2 or 3 month's non-use; they run through everything on screen. Runs OS 7.5
& Claris 5. Nothing I've tried makes any difference.

I have the PB 5300cs and I had the same
problem after it was stored in it's container
for about 4 months... I found that the
problem was in the wires connecting the LCD
to the motherboard when I looked inside
