I have a powerbook 180. I deleted some files when I got it and any time I pushed a key on the keyboard, the computer made me restart. I fooled around with some files and I put the finder in a folder I should not have. Now when I turn on my computer all I get is a picture of a disc with a question mark in it. Am I screwed, or is there anything I can do? Someone has given me a copy of a Microsoft System 7.1 Disc Tools disc, and I have ordered a system software disc set, but I want to know if my problem will still keep coming up. The computer won't let me start up with the disc i already have. Please Help me.

I put Microsoft in there, but I really meant Macintosh 7.1.

boot from the installer floppy and you can then get at the HD and fix what you did. Otherwise re-initialize the drive and re-install the OS while it's booted from the installer disks anyway.
