Comment:

I recently ran across an ancient Powerbook 170 in my school's computer closet. I have a power cord that I got from Radioshack, and it's not an official mac one.

Anyways, on to the problem. I plugged my computer into the wall to get power to it, and I am presented with the most painful thing ever viewed in computer history.

The screen is full of black and white lines and gibberish, and awful sounds are coming out of the speaker.

I'm sure this is a hardware problem, which would make this impossible to fix considering I can't get the case open, but does anyone have an idea? I would really love to fix this old peice of junk.
