What about a ram upgrade on an old powerbook 1400? Would that help the performance?. This lady has one she got for $20 and it only has 16mgs of ram. If the ram is upgraded, could she play arcade games & write letters? It can be upgraded to 64 mgs according to the tech sheet at apple. It is very very slow as it, it leaves "trailers" for lack of a better word. Also, can I hook up an external modem to the serial port on that for her and expect it to work? Thanks
