Subject: power mac G4 cannot access internet OS: Mac OS 9.1 CPU/Ram: 533MHz, 256MB

Comment: I have 3 PCs and one Power Mac G4 connected to Linksys BEFSR41 router for cable broadband sharing. All 3 PCs can access the internet but the Mac can't. The router detected the Mac MAC address. The Mac TCP/IP assigned IP address and router address agreed with the those shown in the router. The PCs can ping the Mac. No proxy is required for the browser. Please help. Thank you.

Reply: (edit)Go into the TCP/IP control panel and check the default route (the IP address of your router) and the DNS server IP addresses. K

Reply: (edit)The TCP/IP control panel shows the router IP address as 192.168.1.1. The DNS server IP address box is left blank. I filled in the DNS addresses but the result is the same - can't access the internet.
