Comment:

My cousin has a B&W upgraded to 500MHz G4.
Up until this week it was working well.
It started taking much longer to boot and to switch
between tasks.
Now it won't boot, not even from the Mac OS X CD.
If I disconnect the drive then it boots from the CD, if the
drive is attached it will not boot.
I am going to find an old disk I have with 10.4 and try to
install it, but I wonder if it could be a dead disk controller?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

My bets are the hard disk or the upgrade. I wouldn't know which.
