Still having memory problems.
PLEASE can someone help me????
Getting 'unmapped memory exeptions' in loads
of apps. I'm running OS 8.1 on a G3, I have
v.memory on and is at 150m (953m available on
disk, 128m built in memory) Cache size is
3072k.
I'm mostly getting the errors in Quark 4.0
and Acrobat Exchange 3.01.
If I've left out any info, please let me
know, but please PLEASE help me.
This is really slowing down my
productivity..

First order of advice: DO NOT USE VIRTUAL MEMORY!
I would turn the cache size down to 1500k, and for god sake upgrade to OS 8.6!

Thanks. I kinda got the impression that virtual memory was bad... I'll take it off now.

Does it cost to upgrade to OS 8.6? and if i
did so, would I have to reinstall all the
apps, folders and documents?

Yes it does cost $ to get 8.6.
But you will not loose anything
(as far as I know).
