I was planning to install Mac OS X on my new PC, however, I have some trouble...
IMO it's completely capable. I have a Core 2 Duo E7200, 2GB DDR2, ATI Radeon HD 3450, and so on. It has a 160GB SATA, while I plugged an external Western Digital hard drive with 250GB.
Once I have about 22GB space used for Linux, and now I use them as a logical partition to install Mac...
The installation was fine, but when I boot it hangs with a "boot0:error".Someone said it was because the partition is not active... but where to say active for an logical partition?
If I make that partition as a Primary with PartitionMagic alongside the original Primary NTFS partition which I have XP installed, the Mac OS X Disk Utility will fail to format it, turn it into an unformatted disk called "disk0s3".
Now I'm stuck. I'm just looking for a way of installing it without destroying all my previous Windows data...
As long as I can tell you is that nearly all Mac utilities for Windows refuse to format the remaining 22GB as a Mac partition on my only 160GB hard disk, and they even refuse to display that hard disk, only shows my external hard drives, which are not intended for installing an OS. Even
Mac OS X's Disk utility refuses me to create a Mac partition on that drive.Besides, is it possible to let Windows boot in a Logical partition? If so I'll be able to switch the partition types (By turning the original NTFS into a Logical while creating a new Primary partition) to make it work...

It looks like the Windows will still work when running booting from
a logical drive, and Mac OS X is working too...However, I need drivers for nearly all hardware I have... and I hope
it works with Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard.- ATI Radeon HD 3450 Mac Driver
- Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Mac Driver
- Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet Adapter (It was a
built-in network card, but the driver for Mac OS 10.4 Tiger is not
working).
