Reply: (edit)Sure..although my DivX all play without problem for me in quicktime 6x in both OS9 and OSX, it could be because i have a couple extra codecs added that add additional formats support to quicktime .. I can't recall specifically all the ones i may have added, but in all probability it would be the 3ivx one that enables the divx - you can find it here...for both OS9 and OSX http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html

Reply: (edit)I should add that, as far as I know, quicktime 6 actually *has* the 3ivx codec integrated in it, and it may in fact , be redundant to have another copy...if you're using an earlier version of quicktime (say, Quicktime 5x), you might need it, but then on the other hand , you could just try to find the latest version of QT that will run on your version of OSX..since you didn't specify either which version of OSX your'e using, or which version of quicktime you have, i can't be of much more help, except to say that pretty much everything media related is run thru quicktime, so it's important to try to keep it updated (hey..it's free after all !)..
