Dear all I want to know, is it possible to prompt a PING command from a MAC? I hear this but nobody could give me an answer how can I do this.

On classic OS a third party program is
required such as IP net monitor, on OSX it
is possible to run basic network
commands from a prompt.. dont ask me
how though

Uhhh...open the Terminal, and type "ping nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn" where the nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address to ping.
