I just installed the trial version of WinGate 4 from Deerfield on my DSL machine (Pent2 200MHz PC). I'm running Netgear switch, ethernet TCP/IP protocol. My Mac is a G4 with System 9 and built-in ethernet. You don't need any special software on the Mac. After setting up the Mac for TCP/IP, you just configure Netscape to access your WinGate server via proxies. Their WinGate Knowledge Base has articles to help. I used #1355, #1142 and then #1039 to configure Netscape on the Mac. I used static IPs for my internal network. Note that connection to the internet is the only communication I have between the Mac and PC. Use Ping from a DOS window on your PC to be sure the Mac is talking to the PC on the network. My next task is to get FTP running from the Mac. The WinGate site is http://WinGate.deerfield.com
