PC disks able to be read on Macs?

Need some suggestions on what my be the problem or solution. Several of our Macs are unable to read PC/Dos formated disks in any external media drives(zip, jaz, etc.) that we purchased and installed. If the drives were put in by the manufacture when we bought them, they will read PC/Dos disks without any problem. What are we overlooking, a software issue? Please offer some help. We have PC Exchange on all machines. Is there some third party software that may help? Thanks for letting me vent my stress.

Your problem is software. It sounds as if the PC Exchange control panel is missing. This is need to read and format disks for the PC.
Hope that helps.
