hello, I've gone and got hold of a
pb1400/166 off ebay, but I'm not too
up on the mac pcmcia thing.
I'd like a modem - would anyone know if
i can use _any_ pc-card
modem, or are there compatibility issues I need to look out for?

many thanks in advance for any ideas
or pointers... Spen

Not all pcmcia cards work on pc and
mac,it's all got to do with the drivers, and
what operating system they were made
for.
The good news is 56kbps pcmcia
modems have dropped in price thanks to
the creation of high speed internet.

Full hardware modem, that's what I needed
to know. I'll check
specs on the manufacturers websites before bidding, thanks to both for the tips.
cheers - spen
