Is there a way to reclaim unused space from one partition and give it to another partition without repartitioning the whole drive?

Not on a Mac, and not particularly *safely* on any platform.

Yes there is.

Get DriveCopy. This program will copy ANY partition from ANY IDE drive to any other IDE drive, block by block. You need two hard drives, at least for copying purposes, and you need a PC (it's a DOS program that boots from a floppy). I've used it before, and it worked fine.

Using a second drive is cheating. If a second drive were an option, it wouldn't be a problem to simply copy and then reformat the first drive and re-partition it properly.
