I have got a 3 disc panther set which wad burnt and
supplied to me. They were burn;t on a Mac that had
9.22 so classic was active. So I think they were burnt
in such a way they are loking for classic, which is
what disc 1 is doing so it can;t proceed on my Mac
which came pre-installed with 10.2 only so classic is
not active. HELP.

Put the cd in the drive, restart your Mac. While it is
rebooting, hold down the C key. Holding down the C key
tells it to boot the CD-Rom. If you friend made a good
copy of Panther, then It should boot and start the
installation process.
