Pages take too long to load

Why does it take forever (if at all) to load web pages?

Emachines T-2200, Sound Blaster live 5.1, ATI 9200se main comp
Asus A7N8X, AMD 2500 Barton, 1 gig Corsair, Geforce 4200ti

I'm surprised your machine will do much of anything if the
specs in your listing are correct. To run 10.4 (Tiger), you
should have 512 MB RAM at least, particularly with a machine
as old as that. You're probably having problems with not
enough memory.
