Comment:

I am trying to configure ODBC and CocoMySQL on my
Powerbook G4 to connect to a MySQL database on my
Linux Red Hat 9.0 server. My powerbook currently
connects to my Linux server using Samba. That works
fine. When I try to connect to MySQL on the Linux server I get an
error stating that CocoaMySQL failed to connect. However when I connect to MySQL on my laptop, localhost, it connects just
fine.

Am I missing a driver or some patch that will allow the
laptop to connect to MySQL on Linux? Can someone give me a step by step on how to set up ODBC and CocoaMySQL to
connect to a MySQL database on a Linux server.

Thanks
KBB
