Try reinstalling Outlook. It won't take long, and it will rebuild the files.

You're kidding, right? Netscape is the most horrible abomination of a mail client ever to invade the computer industry.

If you want to avoid M$'s crapware, use Eudora.

Have the same problem, unable to open
OE which comes up with the error "End of
File Reached". How do you get into the
cache? Please advise!
Thanks

This might be caused by lack of memory.
Try compacting/rebuilding the memory --
launch Outlook while holding down the
option key. Worked for me, anyway.

I received the same error message:
"Unable to launch Outlook Express due to
this error message." I attempted
compact the database, but was unable to
do so. Dialog box told me that database
could not be repaired. I also trashed OE
preferences from the system folder. That
did not work either. Additionally, I trashed
my preferences from the OE identity
folder. Finally, I've rebuilt the desktop.

Nothing has worked.

This problem presented itself after a
coworker optimized their hard drive with
Norton.
