I have Microsoft 2011 for Mac. Yesterday I tried to attach too many/too large files to send via Outlook email. This email is stuck in Outbox. I have tried several suggestions I found online, but nothing is working.
When I try to move the file from Outbox to Draft folder while offline, Outlook won't execute unless I am online.
It has even affected (I think) the speed of my Internet connections. Pages are loading much slower since this SNAFU.
Please, someone, HELP.
just so you know I am having the same enraging problem
So sorry to hear that! I actually broke down and called Apple Help Line and they walked me through a solution. It was awhile ago, so I don't remember the step, but it only took a minute. Here's their number: 1-800-692-7753.
Hope this helps.

What I had to do was go into the Outbox and open the email with the huge file. I deleted the file and closed the window; hit save as draft (I think) when the message appears. Because it still needed to send and it was an important information I deleted who I was sending it to and put my own email address in so I didn't look like a fool sending an email without a document. Hope this helps!

Thank you, hockeycat20. Office 2011 has been an increasingly big pain to work with...I switched to Mac this year to get away from Microsoft's shenanigans and they still are causing me grief. This suite is so poorly designed, it's scary.
Thanks again for the good help with THIS problem.
Thanks hockeycat20, i was having the same problem!
I had the same issue and just figured it out. 1. Click the Outbox button.
2. Right click the email you are trying to remove from outbox
3. Click Attachments, then Remove All
4. Delete emailHope that helps!

I am not sure if you figured out how to resolve this, but what worked for me was as follows: Click Outlook menu option (upper left corner)
Click Work Offline
Close and quit Outlook
Restart
Verify Outlook is still offline
Press and hold the Shift button and press the delete button
