Hi there, I work at a Community College with several PC's and Macs on our LAN. Recently we started upgrading some of the Mac's to OSX, and have noticed some printing issues where printing is sent to the wrong printer on the network. Even if only 1 printer is setup/configured in the Chooser, printed documents are sent to the wrong printer. Sensetive information has been sent to the wrong person on a couple of occasions, which has naturally caused us a concern. I have only noticed this happen once on an OS9 system.
Printers are all HP networked printers (eg Laserjet 2200N and 4500DN)
We have static IP's on the printers, and a mixture of static and DHCP for the Mac's.

First of all: are the printers using TCP/IP or AppleTalk? If it's AppleTalk, stop using AppleTalk and use TCP/IP. It's faster and "64% less evil" according to a friend of mine.
Triple-check that the IP addresses of the printers are correct; I rather doubt this has anything to do with the addressing scheme the computers are using but more to do with them not being correctly configured for the printers in the first place.
