Can I use osX installer discs from a G5 mac to upgrade from os9.1 to osx on an 400mhz imac? Are the discs specifically for a G5?

depends..., if discs are for specific g5, then maybe not, also read info on system requirements first, might not be compatible without addition settings, harddrive's format, carbon lib's and such...:)
