OSX installer can't see hd

OS: 9.2.2
CPU/Ram: Powermac G4 500/ 512
Comment:

OSX 10.1.5 installer cannot see the destination disk on a G4 500 AGP/512 Ram which already has 9.2.2 installed. I have already re-initialized to HF+. Any ideas??

Already updated firmware and there is 20gbs of space. Still no Joy.

Hrm. ISTR this might be a known problem...now if I could just remember where I saw the fix...have a look at MacFixIt.com. Might be something there.
