OS: OSX 10.2
CPU/Ram: Blue G3
Comment:

Downloaded 10.2.6dmg, restarted, screen froze and
loads of diagonal lines appeared.

Was forced to reinstall 10.2 to get my Blue G3 to work
again.

Any way around this problem?

Hmm ... I've not heard of any problems with any of
the 10.2.x upgrades. After the clean install, try
downloading any necessary firmware and then
running the 10.2.6 combo upgrade. See if that
works without a problem.

Another suggestion ... if you have enough space on
your present drive, try partioning it as desired. Use
one drive for your every day OS X usage. On
another, small partition, keep a second OS X System
Folder. Whenever a new update comes out, always
install it on the second System Folder and make sure
it doesn't do anything screwy. If it doesn't, install it
on the main X system folder. If it does, whoopdy-
doo, because it's not the one that you use day-to-
day. If you ahve two hard drives installed, it makes
that easier.

Have got a second hard drive which I'll try installing the upgrade onto. Thanks for your help.
