OS: OS9.1.2 OS 10.1.2
CPU/Ram: G3 400 mHz 396 Ram - G4
Comment:

I've been dealing with this issue for a
while now and am stumped. I have a dual
booting G4 running OS10 and I'm using
AppleTalk and Ethernet to network with a
G3 IMac running OS9..1.2. My PC will
network and booting the G4 in OS9 will
network but I get an error when I try to log
on to the G4 with the IMAC - the other way
works fine.

Do I need to update my OS10 to Jaguar?

This has been going on since I bought it.
Please help!

What's the error when you try to connect to the OS X machine.

How are you connecting? Is it GO menu --> Connect to Server ?

It only happens when trying to connect
from the OS9 to the OS10 machine.

At first it says "contacting G4" and it just
sits until I hit "cancel" then it says
"switching to appletalk" and the usual
enter name and password box comes up.

When I hit OK - the message says - "the
connection to the server has unexpectedly
quit"
